What is Restoration Hope? Restoration Hope is a non-profit ministry founded in 2009 by Aaron and Amanda Crabb of Aaron and Amanda Crabb Ministries. The purpose of Restoration Hope is to bring hope to people in cities across the country by giving local churches and fellow Christians an opportunity to partner with us and come together in unity as one to accomplish the great commission God called us to do. Aaron and Amanda have a passion for people and seeing lives transformed spiritually, emotionally and physically. Aaron says it best, “There are people that are hanging on to a rope screaming out for help and we pass them by on the streets everyday. We are answering the call to not just grab the rope, but to start pulling and set them in the right direction.” Amanda shares, “Restoration Hope will just be an extension to what God is already doing in our ministry every week, just on a much larger scale. We believe God called us to do this and even though we are stepping out in faith, we believe thousands will be touched through Restoration Hope.

Restoration Hope will sponsor events in the summer of 2011 in select cities across the US. These events will be called Restoration Hope: City Fest and they will be free admission events. Volunteers from all over the country will come and help out in each city as well as volunteers from the local churches. Aaron adds, “The body of Christ has to be unified with all racial barriers and denominational walls broken down to reach our world. The first part of the weekend there will be a time of inner healing for all volunteers. There are so many people wounded in the body of Christ our goal is to make sure they are restored so God can use them to reach the unsaved. The second part of the weekend will be hands on ministry and outreach.” Evangelism is the Spirit-led communication of the gospel of the kingdom in such a way or ways that recipients have a valid opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and become responsible members of His church. There is no greater call as the body of Christ than to go out and tell others about Him. Jesus not only preached, but He brought good news by word and deed.

We plan to meet the needs of those hurting, broken, hungry, naked, and longing for a friend. The same Biblical mandate remains "to become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some" (1 Cor 9:22) At each City Fest event we will come to serve those in the city by offering a free concert, groceries, gas cards, and gifts of all magnitudes. Especially at this economical state in our country, what better time to bring hope to people who literally do not know how they will pay their bills, feed their children or find a job. People are desperate and are looking for something to believe in and we have the privilege to offer that hope and let them know that the Kingdom of God does not run off of the world’s system.

As this new ministry unfolds, there are several ways you can be a part of Restoration Hope. First and foremost, we need you to be praying for each City Fest event. We are convinced that God has huge plans at these events and we are expecting cities to be changed forever. Secondly, we need lots of volunteers. (We are believing for at least 1,000 volunteers at each event.) Consider bringing a church bus full of workers to one of the events. This would also be a great opportunity for youth groups to take a mission trip here in the US and develop hands on street ministry.
